Boarding is just one of the many services we provide at Southland Veterinary Hospital for both feline and canine companions. Our indoor kennel facilities ensure a comfortable and supervised stay, accompanied with frequent leash walks and optional special arrangements.
For the active and pampered pet, we offer additional playtimes in which staff members will take dogs on a walk (weather permitting) or spend time brushing or grooming our feline boarders. We can also arrange to bathe your pet prior to your arrival. This sometimes requires a later pick up time so be sure to inquire during check in.
When you bring your pet to stay with us, you are always more than welcome to bring their favorite toys along with any special treats or diet. Unless otherwise instructed, we feed our kenneled pet Purina EN. This food is specially formulated for easy digestion.
If your pet is currently on any medications, do not worry. Some of our most frequent visitors tend to be older patients who require daily medication such as insulin or other treatments. We will be sure to discuss and follow all instructions given during the time of check in.
In order to keep your pet and others safe and protected from infectious diseases we do require current vaccinations including Bordetella and Feline Leukemia, as well as a current, negative fecal exam. Should Canine Influenza become common in our area, this vaccine may be required in the future.
Since our boarding facilities are limited, it is important to book a reservation as soon as you know your travel plans, but in case of an emergency or for a last minute trip, please call to check availability. For any questions or to book your reservations today, give us a call and we will be happy to discuss how we can make your pet’s stay with us a pleasant home away from home experience!
